Lars & Billy Sheehan at the Frankfurt Messe

Billy Sheehan the multi award winning American bassist with Mr Big, also known for his work with Steve Vai, David Lee Roth, Niacin and Talas. Billy’s globally renowned for his lead playing bass style, including two handed tapping, three-finger picking technique and controlled feedback, catch him on his world touring master classes, or see him live, you’ll be amazed.

Lars and Kathy and Jason How of Rotosound

Kathy and Jason from Rotosound Strings are two of the nicest people in the music business, I have been to many countries with Rotosound, often getting collared as a roadie at trade shows, at least they only have boxes of strings to transport, the best strings available of course.

John Hornby Skewes Trade Event

Here we are at the annual John Hornby Skewes trade event, what a team. From the left, world renowned designer of guitars and guitar hardware, Trevor Wilkinson, I just don’t understand how he can still keep coming up with such innovative ideas. In middle, the Irish guitar phenomanen Roy Fulton, such good player, and me of course in that same shirt.

Cort Guitar factory in Indonesia

What a bunch, here we are for the inevitable picture, at the Cort Guitar factory in Indonesia. Very trendy, socks and sandles are so cool.

Status Quo’s Rick Parfitt

Here’s a surprise, on that visit to Rhino’s, in popped Rick Parfitt, I’d spent the last 9 years in a Quo tribute band as Rick, we had blast discussing if our wigs were on straight.......yeah right!

Lars at the London International Music Show

Another rare moment captured at the London International Music Show. Here’s a few of my clients who have benefited from Music Media Announcements, from the left, me of course, Oli Brown from the Oli Brown Band holding his signature Vanquish guitar, the delightful Sarah Rand from the exsgwisit, bespoke guitar strap company..Randy Straps, and Adrian Hardman the man with the impeccable woodworking skills behind Vanquish Guitars.

Lars with Brian Eastwood

Wearing my journalist ‘hat’ again, this time on a visit to one of the UK’s best guitar builder and repairers, Brian Eastwood, who also builds incredible off-the-wall models. That sewing machine is actually playable, and that shirt again, well it was hot summer’s day.

Lars with Jerry Donahue

The master fingerpicker himself Jerry Donahue, you could be born with four hands and still not keep up with the dexterity of this wonderful guitarist.

Lars with a Vintage Thomas Blug

Another fruitful event at the John Hornby Skewes trade event. This is the unveiling of the Vintage Thomas Blug signature model, a replica of his ’61 Strat, cradeling the original is Trevor Wilkinson and JHS MD, Dennis Drum.
